I am new into the Drone arena, I am looking for a drone, my purpose of using drone is mostly hobby, and in case i am going to some adventure trip, can i take best utilize it with good photography and videos.

Here are my the requirements.
1) Good camera with excellent photo quality, and optical zoom
2) Should be able to capture 4K Video
3) GPS Enabled.
4) Portability matters, but not at the cost of performance, anything that weighs within the range of 450G is fine.
5) My budget is up to 1000$.
6) Durability, battery time matters, I don't need any specialist controller, as long as it runs well with the help of my smartphone.

I am in no rush, can wait for 3-4 months, I have heard that German Company Drone X recently developed revolutionary drones, which is not only lightweight but also inexpensive, without compromising the performance, but I haven't seen any review in youtube. DJI Mav Pro2 is an excellent drone, that fulfills my requirement, but it doesn't have optical zoom and it exceeds my budget by miles. Phantom pro (or whatever it is called is too bulky)

Only drones under $1000 that has your requirements are the Mavic Air and the Mavic Pro 1. There might be some others out there, but either they aren't very popular or they are cheap Chinese knockoffs.

I recently bought a Mavic 2 Pro after extensive research. IMHO there is not another drone available with the combination of flying capability, portability, and camera performance anywhere. If you can stretch your budget I would highly recommend it.

Thank you, I will consider Mavic Air after reading its recent reviews.

DJI is a Chinese company too.

Thanks I am making my mind, to stretch my budget, also, like i mentioned in OP, I will miss optical zoom. Think about it, your drone is airborn and without bringing it down you can take a closer look, (I don't want to sound like I want to spy on someone's private property). I am in no rush, i can wait for 3-5 or maybe 6 months. Is there a possibility, where, DJI can release Mavic Pro 3 having optical zoom?

But not knockoffs - the other cheap drones referenced are copies of Dji drones.

I also have the Air, great aircraft.

Do you think the next Mavic with even more features will cost less than $1000? Those days are most likely over. My advice is to get an MP1 (they are by far the best value right now) and forget about an optical zoom. You can by an MP1 for about $650-700 US and use the rest of your budget for more batteries. FYI you can do digital zooming in-flight with the MP1 as well, and you get Occusync, which is far superior to regular WiFi control.

Stay within your Budget - or close - get the Mavic Air with Fly More package for extra batteries - you'll need them.

It will take you almost a year to run the gamut of features on the Air, and you'll enjoy them ALL in the process.

When prepared to jump to higher levels, keep the Air for travel, and ease of Flight any time with little or no prep time.

The Air can shoot high def, which allows you to crop for 'zoom'-like capability.

It is an amazing little machine, and you will LOVE every minute with it, FOREVER.

Thanks NAVMAV I've been reading reviews and watching numerous youtube videos of DJI Mavic Air and Pro 2, and will purchased one of these in 3 months.
