MA refuses to climb

I have had this happen off and on. First my height limit is set to max just for the record and I am a 107 who has been flying for years. So normally the MA requires a compass cal just about every time I launch so I do this first then launch the drone and once in a while it will climb to about 15 feet then refuse to go any higher just like it senses an obstruction however I am in an open area without any trees or obstructions in sight. If I fly forward then up that usually bypasses the problem. Anyone else have this happen?

The usual explanation for stopping at 15 feet is that you have no GPS and VPS is enabled.
Wait for GPS or turn VPS off and you can go higher.

Height is restricted to 16 feet (5 meters) when the GPS signal is weak and Downward Vision System is activated. Height is restricted to 98 feet (30 meters) when the GPS signal is weak and Downward Vision System is inactivated
