The Mars Ingenuity team have done it yet again.

Due to better than expected performance NASA are now planning to use Ingenuity as a scout looking for close by areas of interest for the Mars Perseverance Rover to examine as soon as it’s shake down is complete, which is currently ahead of schedule.

Judging on success so far it’ll be interesting to see what the next version of helicopter is capable of doing.

The Mars Ingenuity team are now posting flight data on their blog. So far everything seems to be within predicted performance ranges.

It would be great if they were posting actual data instead of a few graphs derived from the data.

Major issues with this flight as it defiantly violates the VLOS rule plus it is a commercial flight and I doubt NASA is 107 certified. As usual the laws only pertain to the weak and defenseless
