Hello all.

I just tried Master Shots on the M5P and found that it made separate clips of each move (dronie, circle, etc). Upon checking the the files, I found several files ending in "_MASTER.MP4" and one small file with the extension "AIS." All this happens when I use the RC 2 controller. What's the purpose of this?

This does not happen when using the RC Pro 2.

What gives?

Thanks,
Livingston

With the M5P this is standard regardless of which controller you use, it's a new feature. Not sure what's going on with the RC2 Pro, but you would have had to update Fly to use the RC2P with the Mini 5P, and it should have then separated the Mastershots clips.

Thanks. Do you happen to know why they did this? Seems like a big PITA to me to have to stitch them together in post.

It was a similar problem for people that wanted to split them off from a single master file that only wanted one or two of them. They are easier to stitch together than they were before to split apart, and you can now also easily change the order of their assembly.

Customer complaint/request. A lot of people have been asking for this since MS were introduced.

Of course there will be others, such as yourself, that like it better the other way. I'm personally indifferent, but I can see the merit to the argument that it's much easier to splice them all together if you need it, than cutting up the single video into individual clips.
