This is my last post of the day, I promise! It's about being gentle when you apply lens filters.
When installing your lens filters, you should so it with the power off. No question about it. If you do it with the power on, and try to steady the gimbal, it will fight you to maintain its position, and you could end up with a fried gimbal motor assembly and a limp gimbal. Even when you put a filter on with the power off, be careful not to stretch the gimbal outside of its normal travel limits.
