Thank you, looks like I am going to have to purchase some kind of holder. My Air 2 measures 9-5/8” across. I wonder what type of good solid holders others are using?

Swivel ball and plastic spring loaded holder purchased. The base plate is just a piece of 1/4 inch thick aluminum doctored up on a mill that I play with. I’ll get you more pics in the morning. I think I have a few extra pieces that I could put another one together. I’ll check. What I like about mine, is how snug it fits.

Actually pretty easy to make with the helper I have. This particular one works for the mp1 controller. The difference between the 1 and the 2 will be the notched area in the bottom corners. The ring is to attach a lanyard.

Looks good, nice mill, and with DRO, sweet! Does the adapter fit into the slot that is between the the control knob storage area like the mavmount does?

Only prob I found with Mavmount design was whe holding tablet at good angel to see screen, the antenna on the remote are pointing down and couldn't be adjusted to the correct position for the best connection with the aircraft.

Nice photo, The area between the post storage that goes in about 3/16" just under the lip so it would be more stable with a larger iPad. Make sense? You can see it the mavmount pictures, it's the leading edge of the mount that tucks under the lip.

The original mavmount was, in my opinion too floppy even with a mini4. I actually made a modification to one of those to solve that problem. I’ve not seen or had my hands on his newer version to know if that issue was solved. I’ll get a picture of the version 1 that I fixed later. If you want to try one ,I’ll see if I have all the parts. I may be missing the part that holds the iPad.

I think I have a plan. This one is not identical to the one I use, but very close. Works the same. I did find the holder that fits the larger iPads. I will send you a pm with my email so I can relay the gory details.
