Nonetheless illegal, LOS is generally considered to be 500m. There is no way that you could have LOS at 11000m, almost 7 miles (even in perfect conditions)!

Just curious, if you took the RC with you, how did the distance stay at 1 meter when you drove away?My test with standart antennas - over 45000 feet. I was just afraid to go more.
