Lets cut the chase and ask my questions.
1. Is there really no safety measure for the Mavic 2 to not fly when folded? Meaning that I can start the motors while folded? surely they'll get stuck on each other but from what I've observed you don't get a message to unfold the arms.
2. This is another thing that made me concerned but while I was using ActiveTrack and on a bike, the drone hit 20% and commenced RTH, no problem there but I was near a tree and wondered what happened if the drone commenced RTH when there was an upwards obstacle? Would it try to move away until its no longer there?

cant answer the first question without being rude and swearing and as for question 2 RTBM

Hi. First off we don’t start threads off with
Lets cut the chase and ask my questions.
as it is rude and most likely you would not get no answers
to your questions.
As for your questions #1. Never had no need to try , take your props off and try and see for yourself
#2. I would think it would hit anything above it if rising to
your set rth altitude.
Please try and post in a civilized manner from here out
and do RTM.
Wouldn’t hurt to read our guidelines as well.

If directly under an obstacle, the upward infared sensor should stop it. It might also back up to try and clear the overhead obstacle.
