I'm a technical/IT guy by trade but the last Apple product I've used at all was an Apple ][...seriously.
I am finally getting a dose of iOS which was one of my reasons for plunking down $1500 for a tablet...another reason was for operating the drone.
I had too many instances where I found something in the 4k video that I had not seen on my phone screen during flights. I would have further investigated and zoomed in had I seen it at the time.
Last I checked the table showing compatible tablets and phones didn't show a lot of info on this specific tablet.
I can report my M2Z works fine with DJI 4 Go on this tablet. The Cellular equipped models of the Third-Gen iPad Pro do have GPS. I'm using the latest version of iOS(12.1.4)
The mavmount seems fine although the big iPad is about as big as I would want to go.
I also used one of these 180 degree turned USB cables which makes the cable-routing a lot less obtrusive: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GRYTRHC
