Mavic 2's go on sale

Nice prices for the Mavic 2... don't think I can convince my wife to get one as I just got my Mavic Pro in July lol.

Never had any issues with them in the past. In the event that I do, PayPal will take care of it.

Interesting so thats why DJI jacked up the price ....
So they could offer this Deep discount right befor the Holiday season

Repeat after me "do NOT depend on PayPal to 'handle it' ".
They will do as little as possible and they lean heavily on the side of vendors.
ALWAYS use a credit card even with PayPal. When PayPal starts waffling then you threaten to involve the credit card company.
PayPal will then possibly start getting serious about your interests.
What's typically happened to me is the vendor sells you some crap that's nothing like what was advertised and to get a refund you have to mail it back to them. Ha! Check out what it costs an ordinary citizen with no special shipper arrangements to send something back to a foreign country. Exorbitant is barely adequate to describe. Yet PayPal will act like that's perfectly ok and tell you that's what you have to do and we're done.
Likely more than you paid for the junk to begin with.
A credit card company will go to bat for you and if your complaint is legit you WILL win.
In addition most CC will extend a warranty for an additional year for free. Can't beat that with a stick.

Although I do want one, I'm not sure it will get much use throughout the winter. Hence I'm waiting until Spring (and keeping my fingers crossed for a price drop?!) lol

I'd be cautious about warranty and DJI care refresh with a grey import as I've seen some claims that DJI are fine with grey imports but others where they haven't been including a recent post from someone angry with DJI for not allowing them to purchase DJI Care Refresh which looks to have been due to the drone being a grey import.

I'm not against grey imports but I think you have to weight up how much the saving is against the loss of warranty and after sale care.

UPDATE:

Just received my Mavic 2 Pro from Gearbest in perfect condition. Took a little while to arrive, but was well worth the wait.
That's good to hear! Curious, how long did it take from order to delivery? I ordered the M2P from them on 2/3 and tracking info shows it shipped but still at the airport in Hong Kong. ETA is 2/19 but I have a hunch it will be later. At least it appears to be moving through shipping.

I contacted DJI to express the same concerns before ordering. They assured me that Warranty and Care Refresh purchase would not be a problem. Simply contact them once I have received the drone to purchase the Care Refresh.

Would you still have access to your tracking info? I am curious to know how long did it take once it posted that status (Parcel arrived at airport)?

My tracking info...

@Rsaurage , Did you check it today. Its in Los Angeles.
Wow! You were right! It is in Los Angeles! How could you have possibly known that since I did not include the tracking number in my post? Lucky guess, right? ETA is now Feb. 22nd. That would put it at 18 days from order to delivery.
