I've been testing the HLG mode on my M3C for a while now, this is a short clip showing what it looks like. In my opinion it's a great addition to D-LOG and normal color profiles!

I had quite a bit of work to do to get the white balance look right (and it's still off in some shots), and some shots came out underexposed, so that had to be corrected as well. But there's no fancy color grading involved. If you get the exposure and white balance right in camera, I'd say there's not much post required at all!

Amazing location! I’m going to test the HLG mode soon and see if using d-log for exterior architectural shots is necessary anymore under normal daytime light.

Is there anything you need to do to the video files to make them HDR such as in a video editor like Final Cut or Premiere? Or can you simply just upload video files straight from the SD card to youtube and it will playback in HDR?

I've not tried it, but it should work that way as well!

You can upload HLG video directly to YouTube and get HDR but HLG played on YouTube in Windows won't look as HDR. The safest way for all devices is to convert it to SMPTE ST 2084 for 1000 nits. In Davinci resolve it's done simply by setting project color space settings.
