MAVIC 3 NO GPS INFO WITH PHOTOS

The new Mavic 3 is not providing GPS, Latitude Longitude information in the Photos it takes. Is this going to be fixed in the expected January firmware update?

I am getting the GPS info on the M3 Cine, both before and after the firmware update.

I do not get the GPS info on the standard M3 and have not updated the firmware on that aircraft yet.

The other difference is that the M3 was flown with the standard controller and iPad Mini, while the M3 Cine was flown with the RC Pro.

I would guess that the difference is iOS vs. Android Fly app versions.

The sample images I've looked at from the original firmware all have GPS location data. How are you determining that it isn't present in your images - a photo editor application or direct examination of the EXIF data?

That shouldn't make any difference as the image file is created in the drone, not by the app.

Post one of your original jpg images so someone else can check the Exif info to see what's there/not there.

Not having that issue here on a Cine latest firmware.

I have the regular M3 and am getting GPS info on my DNG+JPEG files but have not checked the straight DNG since the latest firmware update.

Just checked my DNGs from flying with my iPhone, and the GPS data is in the file (pre FW update). Same for flights made with the RC Pro (post FW update).

I Re-installed firmware and now the GPS data appears in both DNG and JPG! Thx for the quick responses! These forums are great!

I went back to post the photo with the GPS, and it looks like I mistakenly looked at a file from the Sony camera that was in with the drone files. Operator error

Looking further, and more carefully, all my M3 and M3 Cine photos have GPS.
