Australia. They are all universal, so I am not sure why that matters?

Yes the drones are universal but the warranties are not. Your drone from Australia would need to be returned to Australia should it need warranty service. That might not be convenient for some potential buyers, that’s why it matters:)

You are correct at the current time. DJI is hoping to offer US based warranty service when they can get the M4P parts in country.

I have yet to need warranty service on any DJI product I have purchased.

I would not count on that…Dji does not provide warranty service on any of its drones except within the country in which the product was intended to be sold.

This warranty subject is somewhat confusing. I recently had a conversation with DJI regarding an Air3S that I had considered buying. The package had been activated in Thailand and somehow ended up in the U.S. as a used product. I was told by DJI that I could, if needed, send this unit in for repair from the U.S., but if I wanted to purchase their Care Refresh(which I have never done), that option could only be done from Thailand.
I’m wondering if the activation process may be key to this issue. If you buy a DJI product from any country other than your country of residence, is this service/warranty issue tied to place of activation or tied to a serial number that DJI has an ability to track?
I’m leaning towards DJI having the ability to track both the point of activation and serial number location to some degree. What those methods are would be interesting to know. May be as simple as tied to your DJI account and its home address.
(I did not acquire the Thailand unit)

As posted elsewhere on this forum, Dji USA supposedly will “assist” with warranty service and with paid repairs (non warranty damage) for Mavic 4 pro’s sold through adarama/ BH etc, coming from Canada. Not sure about those from Australia.

Warranty will only be valid in the country of purchase. For any warranty claims, it would need other be sent to the Dji centre where it was purchased. I am in New Zealand and if I buy from Aussie, I cannot claim warranty here but need to ship it back to Aussie.

I dont understand any of this... We have used DJI Repair on about 10 times on craft we have purchased directly from DJI in China... on every occasion we have dealt with a service address in CA (?) or other part of the mainland (USA) we are in Hawaii.

Care Refresh is different than warranty. One cannot buy Care Refresh in the US for a M4P. DJI is not stocking parts in the US for the M4P currently due to customs. Many owners are buying 3rd party insurance to cover damage. State Farm is who I and others use for drones.

Warranty claims are few and far between. Some US owners with issues have reported getting their drone replaced with a new ones.

Some exporters Activate their units before shipping to the US, so that country show up in DJI records. The units I received have not been activated in another country so the first Activation is in the US.

Where are you getting the idea that activations have anything to do with warranty or care based on records and the country in which the activation took place? There are VPNs, you realize that, no?

How can you activate a drone and then sell it as new, that's impossible. AFAIK, a DJI drone can only be activated once....forever; there is no second activation.

This is the first I have heard that drones are getting activated before being sold and that too, sold as new. An activated drone is considered second hand and not new anymore. It will NOT show up on the second purchases account.
