Can you change the zoom on the MA-2 while recording by pressing the Fn button and toggling the gimbal thumb wheel which the Mavic Mini 2 allows.
Would try out myself but the weather is inclement here and she'll freak if I break out the drone in the house

Yes, you can zoom in/out during video recording by keeping the Fn button pressed while moving the gimbal control wheel. And you can test the zoom with the drone on, without having to take off. However, a few things to know about the zoom function:
  • It only works in these video modes: 4K ZOOM, 2.7K and 1080p.
  • It does NOT work in HDR video mode, 4K WIDE, or still photo modes.
  • You need to update the firmware of the Air 2 to have the zoom function, as older firmware versions didn't have the zoom enabled.
  • To verify when you can use the zoom, look for a round circle icon next to the record button with a number like (1x) inside. If that circle is not there, then the zoom cannot be used in that shooting mode.
These screenshots show when the zoom is enabled and you can use it:

Can someone confirm that pinching out on the screen also zooms on the MA2, in addition to holding and dragging on the zoom icon, and using the Fn button with the scroll wheel? It works that way on the Mini 2.
