Agree 100%. The gen #1 Air is a noisy little bugger... quite a nice camera though, but because of it's age it is difficult to find reliable spare batteries. The big bonus is that you still get to use GO4... Which is a properly excellent flight app as opposed to the Janet&John bloatware that is DJI FLY.I'm not sure what you're asking? The 'DJI Mavic Air', the original Air is obsolete, very noisy with a high-pitched squeal, and a very nice camera.
DJI dropped the 'Mavic' from the product name and put the 'DJI Air 2' and subsequent Airs on their own product page a couple years ago.
The Air 2, Air 2S, and later DJI Airs are all very fine little drones. They're quieter, exceptionally stable for their weight, get most of a half hour in the air, and have fine point and shoot cameras with mid-sized optics and big sensor.
If the 'conditions' you mention are from treating your garden like a DRL course and you crash there. Maybe a Mini 4K or Neo would cost less per crash than the Air? I'll do stuff with the cheaper drones I won't do with an Air or Mavic 2...
I found the original Mavic Air excellent. Bought it 2nd hand. Never had any issues. Nice video etc. the worst thing was using a phone for a screen. Connecting was a pain.I'm not sure what you're asking? The 'DJI Mavic Air', the original Air is obsolete, very noisy with a high-pitched squeal, and a very nice camera.

If you want something for travel, get one of the minis. I’ve got a mini 2 and it has a decent battery flight time and camera for “casual” photos. I also have an Air 2 I’ve been happy with for years now. If you want to try just “fun” flying, get any one of the FPV models, I’ve got all 3 and fly all of them with the motion controller. Pretend you’re flying through the Death Star trench in Star Wars !! Good luck with your decision !I was debating on getting a mavic air for easier travel and possibly fun or flying in conditions I can't fly my MPP. Was just trying to see how everyone like theirs or if it's not even worth it
