Mavic air turns on itself

Hi everyone,
I'm posting on this forum cause i have an issue with my mavic air. The title is pretty clear, when in the air no matter the altitude the drone turns on itself when he is hovering (meaning I dont touch the controller when hovering) and sometimes when i control it in the air, but it's mostly when he is hovering.
I dont use it that much so i dont think it's because i overuse it, it's in brand new condition no shock or anything, the last time i used it was this summer and everything worked fine. Since yesterday i have this weird issue.
I was thinking maybe it's the joystick controller who maybe is defective but i'm not sure.

If anyone have or had this issue and find out whats the problem and solution that would be very helpful.
Thanks for your help, hope to hear from you ASAP !

Regards,

C.H

I have noted a similar thing. At any altitude, hovering it begins to rotate and look around without any stick control. I recalibrated the IMU but no change. Where should we start checking things out?

I too was having this same issue with the Mavic Air constantly turning to the right. It never used to do this. Many posters have mentioned the firmware as being suspect. After refreshing firmware and doing various other calibrations, in response to a post below showing how to calibrate the sticks, I was finally able to solve the problem of turning to the right. Once into stick calibration I could see that the left stick when in center position, was actually turning 18% to the right. It took multiple attempts but finally got it to zero turn to either side. I am so happy to have finally resolved the turning to right issue that has been plaguing me for 6 months.

If the controller still causes issues... you could try cleaning the magnetic modules:

I have fixed the problem. It had to do with stick calibration. Need to get them to zero percent either side when in center position. It took a few minutes, but the drone is like new now. Drone now flies perfectly, as it used to.
