Mavic Air - won't start after long idle period

My Mavic Air has not been used for about 1.5 years.
I recharged the batteries and controller, but the drone won't start.
holding in the indicator light/button on the front - does nothing.
I tried two fully charged batteries.

I don't see what would age out just being idle - any suggestions to recover it?

DJI batteries cannot be powered on by pressing and holding the button. Try it like this instead:
