To fly WiFi you have to flip a little switch in the fuselage of the drone. I guess you could climb up, flip the switch, then climb down and try to fly it out.
I wonder if anyone has tried to contact DJI in a case like this. Since you do have to "activate" the craft after you get it maybe they can "de-activate" it if asked?
Many people have asked. but unless things changed recently DJI does not do anything because this would turn into into privacy issues very quickly.
On the DJI forum DJI stated that DJI employees cannot locate or deactivate a specific drone even if they wanted to. They can only view the accounts (i.e. where, when and what someone flew), they cannot deactivate or even locate a drone based on a serial number.
