You are right about their tiny FLIR being less than ideal . . I was disappointed with the M3ED too so held off and found another solution from sUAS that mounts the FLIR BOSON 320 side mounted with a pitch motor and a separate FLIR DVR parameters controller. Works ok but you really need a gimble to be effective. That's got to be the next step. THis photo is BEFORE they added the pitch motor but I found the FLIR camera controller basic but effective. They are modifying it again for me so I'll let you know when I test it again.
