So I forgot my sd card and noticed that you can record via phone instead. Got me thinking. since you can also go into full screen and all the info from the screen is always on your controller. What's to stop a third party app from being able to record pro res via your phone.

The video feed is high quality and I've never had a glitch.

I'd pay $20 for an app that let me do this.

Or just thinking here, what if I do a lightening cable splitter and connected one to the controller, and one to a lightning cable to hdmi, then hdmi to a ninja external recorder?

IMO, that's a lot of work for low-bitrate video. I'd rather just have a spare SD card in the case. $20 will generally buy you at least 64GB anyway. then again, it doesn't feel that long ago when I was enjoying TV recordings from my VCR.

I think 60mbps is just what it records in h264. I'm wondering what the bit rate ocusync can handle and what's being pushed in the stream to the phone.


I work commercially and don't mind spending he extra $500 to hook up to a ninja.
50mbps in pro Rez is better than 60 in h264.
