Mavic mini 2 no GPS

We bought this drone a few wks back now and have been travelling with it, trying to get it to work. Tried a multitude of locations and consistently get an error saying no GPS, no matter how open the area is. Another thread for the mavic mini 1 suggests firmware reset? Any other ideas?

If your drone is outdoors with a clear skyview and doesn't acquire any sats, there is a real problem and resetting things won't fix it.
Either the GPS receiver is disconnected or non-functioning.

This is true for everywhere but the north and south polar regions, which by design have much poorer GPS coverage.
