Hello,

does anybody know if the CE Version of the Mavic Mini (MR1SD25) can switch the transmission-band during flight?

When I switch the band manually the remote seems to reboot why I believe that auto-mode doesn´t switch during flight.

But auto-mode is using in my case almost everytime 5.8 Ghz which is very limited in transmission power in Europe even when a couple of uninterfered (green) channels are available in 2.4Ghz.

Can I force auto-mode to prefer the 2.4Ghz band?

Thanks!

Now I tried again and changed the location to a place where I assumed would be much less radiation from other sources. The mavic mini switched after powering up to the 2.4 Ghz band but chose the worst available channel, as you can see on the attached screenshot. My cellular phone has been in flight mode during the test.

Does anybody know more about this strange band and frequency switching algorithm?

When we choose manually we should choose the lowest bar? Not the highest?

And I am also interested does the Mavic Mini CE switch the transmission-band during flight.

No it doesn't change during flight.
Yes choose the lowest bar in manual, and check again before flying.
Personally I fly the mini in 5.8 manual with the FCC hack, you can get 2000/3000 + meters in a semi rural area no problem.

On another topic several members said that FCC hack doesn't work any more (in newer DJI Fly versions).

You can use Drone-hacks.com to increase the signal strength on the Mavic Mini

How long does the auto mode check the frequencies at the beginning? I assume that it is just a short moment, where the decision of the right channel for the whole flight is made.

Does it makes sense to lift the remote and the copter in the air right after switching on?

To choose the best channel manually based on the DJI Fly app indicator with the red and the green bars is not more than a nice gamble in my opinion.

Sorry but I´m a little confused because most of the time auto-mode has chosen the channel with the longest red bar. How can this be?
