When i download dji fly app do i have to buy dji refresh care within 48 hours.

I would not like to fly yet because here in Finland are **** conditions .
Or does dji refresh only activate when you start the Mini

sorry bad english, google translator enabled :(

I believe the 48 hour countdown starts from when you first open the box the drone is shipped in.

(Joke)

For real, I think it start the count from when you activate/register the drone to your DJI account.

yes when you first register your drone to enable it to fly with DJI you then have 48 hours to purchase refresh if you dont you can still purchase it later but you have to send video evidence to DJI to show it is not damaged as long as you dont activate the app then you can wait a while till you are ready to fly
just to add if you purchase the drone and refresh directly from DJI, then the refresh starts a few days after it is shipped

If you activated the aircraft.... this meaning it could fly if you started it, then the 48 hours started then. DJICare can be purchased later, but DJI will request Your flight logs to determine if they will grant permission to purchase.

Hum, I never saw where to purchase it, I activated it 10 days ago, sounds like a hassle now.

I never flown it, but I have crashed it.

I purchased 'care refresh' from our Belgian distributor right before I started my drone for the first time, but due to my distributors email problems, I received the activation code after those 48 hours.
Result: I had to make a video to prove all was okay. The guy from the distributor shop came to my place to help me make it.
I had to upload the video on youtube and after a few days DJI said it was good and I was able to enter my activation code.

I you want to see that 'proof' video:

One of my neighbors bought a barely used M2Z, and was able to add the DJI Care plan by sending DJI a video based on the guidelines below. It was simply proof to DJI that he purchased a fully functioning product, and that they can insure it for up to two crashes.

If you want to purchase DJI Care for your aircraft which is activated over 48 hours, you can take the DJI Care video verification. To accomplish the video verification, please follow the guide below:
DJI Care video verification requirements:
1. Show aircraft, remote controller and DJI Go app in the same shot.
2. Shoot your video in a bright and open outdoor area.
3. Ensure video is clear and in focus. DO NOT edit your video.
In the verification video, please shoot the following items in order
1) S/N numbers of your aircraft and gimbal, making sure that both numbers are clearly visible
2) Turn on the remote controller and the battery
3) Enter DJI GO app and calibrate the compass outdoors (open area recommended)
4) Format SD card using the DJI GO app. Make sure it is backed up before formatting.
5) Check the IMU.
6) Demonstrate gimbal pitch movement and rotation by moving it up, down, left and right. If using a Phantom 3 series (or MA/MM/M1P/MPP) product, simply tilt up and down.
7) Use the Combination Stick Command to power on the motors.
8) Hover the aircraft in a place at an altitude of around 1.2m and a distance of 6m (and transform the Inspire). Skip this step if using a Phantom 3 series or other DJI product.
9) Move the drone up, down, forwards, backwards, left, right and do the clockwise and counterclockwise rotation.
10) Use the remote controller to record several seconds of video and use the Playback button to check the recording.
11) Hover the aircraft at a high altitude, i.e. 20m.
12) Carry out a distance and altitude test, making sure to show the DJI GO app clearly in your shot. In an open space, distance and altitude should reach at least around 200m and 120m respectively.
13) Test aircraft landing gear by lowering it until the landing gear lowers automatically. Skip this step if using Phantom 3 series or other DJI product.
14) Land the aircraft, power off the aircraft battery and then turn off remote controller then stop your recording.
Upload your video on YouTube and reply us with the video link. REMINDER: DO NOT edit your video. Once approved, DJI will inform you through email.
