I am using the mavic footage in 3d software. When i put in the focal length 24mm, the field of view settings does not match the specs which should be 83 degrees. How is that possible?

You need to use the real focal length ... 24mm is only the equivalent to full frame.

Then use this formula to calculate FoV for either the horizontal, the vertical or the diagonal (which is what's stated in the spec.):

FOV = 2 arctan(SensorSize/2f)

where:

- f is the focal length
- sensor size is the Height or Width or Diagonal of the sensor (in mm)

- The Mini use a 1/2,3" sensor which is 6,3x4,7mm.
- If going into a picture's exif DJI might give away the real focal length in mm ... they does for the Mavic Air

*EDIT*

Found the real focal length from a example pic on the web ... it's 4,49mm

This gives through the formula a diagonal FoV of 82,39 degrees which corresponds well with what DJI states in the spec.
