Ok so I've been trying to find exactly what resolution the MM shoots pictures in and haven't found a definitive answer from DJI online. Just "Photo mode is 12mp JPEG photos and video is 2.7k at 30fps."
Now when I check the image properties on my computer, it says 4000x3000 for 4:9 aspect ratio and 4000x2250 for 16:9, or maybe I have the aspect ratios reverse. Possibly. Lol. Anyway, from what I understand, 4000x2250 and 4000x3000 are 4k. Basically I'm wondering; Does the Mavic Mini take pictures in 4k?

4K is only used as a video size, indication the video is approximately 4000 pixels wide.
In stills, the actual pixel dimensions are used to indicate the resolution.
In the case of the Mini, the stills resolution is 4000 x 3000 but you can chop off a little from the top and bottom (16:9) and you get 4000 x 2250.

I’ve just taken some building roof pics and got to say the resolution of the pics from the mavic mini 2 are disappointing though supposed to be 4K?

as a general pic they are ok but zoom in and they are poor

anyway to improve the mm2 pic detail please.?

What is the resolution of the images you're getting?
They should be 4000 x 3000
and there's no way to improve on that.

I’ve set to 4:3 so youre right, thanks.
I guess we get spoiled with HD images and our expectations increase too much.

An HD monitor is 1920x1080
4000 x 3000 is higher resolution than HD

Post one of your images and we can see if there's a real issue with it.

Just to confirm, are you looking at the low res cached photos on the phone or the full res files on the card?
