It has happened to me twice. The second time it crashed and broke all the props. I sent it back to dji but they don't tell you what they did to it. I expected to get a different drone back but I checked the s/n and it is my original. All I can tell is it has new props. I think that's all they did. I have approximately 20 flights since with no problems.No swollen battery. Asking the OP @Raylance. Was it a single time error and did you found a solution?
