What about this ideea for Phone holder:

I've never used any of those mounts so I don't know how big of a deal it is but the downside seems to be the mount blocking the RC display.

Agreed. Which is why I'm in the market for a mount that doesn't block the RC display.

If it's a phone holder then why not just use the holder built in to the transmitter?

For a phone that fits in the holder, then this mount makes no sense to me.

I do not why I need to see the RC display when I have the info that I need on Phone display.
The most RC have the display ( LCD/Phone?tablet) on the upper side not on the bottom like mavic.
When I fly the Mavic, I must see very clearly where flight.
What do you see in brigt sun on the phone ?????? with out sunshade
