I love that lineup of Mavic 1 Pros, Diversions, and despite my having a similar number of those old workhorses, I am constantly checking for more M1Ps and M2P/Zooms on eBay. Automated waypoint missions far beyond RC signal range are so easy and straightforward with these older DJI Go4 drones, that I feel no need to upgrade.
On the subject of those obstacle avoidance sensor calibrations, I must mention that the Mavic 1 Pro is ONLY compatible with DJI Assistant 2, while the Mavic 2 Pro is ONLY compatible with DJI Assistant 2 For Mavics. Those two versions of DJI Assistant 2 are NOT interchangeable, but this distinction is not made clear by DJI in all the release notes that I have read.
I found that re-calibrating those obstacle avoidance sensors after any hard landings makes a world of difference in the flight of the drone, and results in a very smooth control input response.
