Mavic Pro 2 and mapping.

Hello fellow pilots, has anyone done mapping with a Mavic pro two? What apps do you feel are best to download and create a map?

Yes quite a few using Drone Deploy and Pix4D to both plan, fly, and process. It’s a good system if you don’t need “survey grade” maps. For that look into something like a Phantom 4 RTK and other RTK enables drones.

We’ve found Drone Deploy to be very entry-level user friendly with Pix4D allowing for greater control over the final output. Either will get the job done using an M2P.

thermomosaic Is when you make little kittens out of plastic - no kidding Google it.
Orthomosaic is when you make a map and the cameras pointing down. Ortho means at right angles.
You take a series of overlapping pictures and then they use software to combine them.
Combining them is generally referred to as stitching.

Lol. Got it. Glad this was a pvt convo. ? thank you for the education. Been asked to do 2 jobs so I’m pulling the trigger on getting the MP2 which I prefer over the bulky phantom, although I know that phantom is preferred, but, if software can be implemented to the MO2 which I have seen done , I prefer that.
