Today while flying my new Mavic pro, I wanted to test the drones obstacle avoidance feature, both in normal flight, and in active track.
In normal operation, the drone avoided poles approximately 4 inches wide and didn't have a problem. When I decided it was safe enough to try out the active track and see how it responded by itself, complete failure struck! I had it approximately 2.5m from the ground, and tracking me in profile mode. The drone managed to fly straight into a pole almost half a meter wide, head on. Unfortunately the collision didn't record- it cut out seconds before. Anyone else have a similar experience, or can recommend anything I might have done wrong to cause this? It was a really nice day, sunny and wind wasn't close to excessive for the mavic.
