Hi i made a custom mavic pro 1 battery.
it charges ok i checked it with dji battery killer. i also cleared PF bit back to green. now to me it looks ok.
i even connected it with a newly bought EV2300 interface. but one way or an other i am missing something because when i stick it in the drone i can not take of "battery authentication failure". what do i need to tweak to get this battery to work. it is a higher capacity battery kit(3) 11000mAh instead of 3850mAh. can somebody advise me on what to do or to check to fix this issue the controller keeps messaging " battery authentication failure ", can not take off. the batteries are connected to an original DJI battery bms controller board.

but is it a compatible one? Place the Battery on a LINUX machine.
Use the lsusb command in the Linux terminal to verify if your CP2112 device is recognized.

What should i see using lsusb command in linux? what do you mean compatible? my CP2112 detects it dji killer does all info is read. unsealed. cleared PF bit sealen again ... what do i need to do more or..now..

I have bought custom longer-range batteries for my Mavic 1 Pro and Mavic 2 Pro drones, and with those aftermarket batteries, I routinely fly the drones more than 13 miles round trip on Litchi missions. That said, I don't have the expertise to design and create such longer-range batteries by myself.

Your background in electronics design must be very strong to have taken on this project, and I will be tagging along to see how it turns out. Here are some images of the battery I use.

Won't the BMS chip only recognise a specific voltage/amperage range?
I am not that sure about things Battery Killer. I dont use it myself If I need a Battery I let my more knowledgeable friends do it. when I did try it out I used the GITHUB forums to help me out. The OP is better off asking there really.

Well @charlyd I would solve your problem in a very specific, but not very convinient way. Recently my original battery got disbalanced. I used 2112 chip to reset it , but something somewhere went wrong. I balanced out the battery, charger is now fully charging it but when I put it into Mavic Pro it says Battery Authentication Error. So I went on and downloaded DJI Assistant 2 v 1.1.2 (older one) . Modified main.js to allow developer settings. Then connected to my drone with all the settings available and changed a parameter to treat all batteries as non original DJI. Adjusted RTH and Land values and now my Mavic Pro doesn't complain anymore, it simply flyes. Needless to say its not in warranty anymore . So if something like this works for you , you can go ahead and search on how to enable dev options on DJI Assistant2 . Happy flying.

Whoever devised the workaround you described above is a tech genius, Supernial. I had to re-read this procedure a couple of times to acquire a layman's understanding of a delicate surgical process "not to be tried at home". Despite my electronics tech experience in a past life, I've always been leery of working with LiPo batteries.

Notwithstanding my immediate lack of comprehension, I have copied this workaround you kindly shared because it may be a last resort in the future when reliable aftermarket DJI batteries for older models become scarce.
