Mavic Pro Battery Mod

I think i get out to fly today..Of course the temp went down to freezing. I'm going to test the 4s brick and if the Mav survives another thing i'm trying is i put leads coming out of the Mav battery to charge it on my Lipo charger so i could get it to 4.4V per cell. With my initial charge to 4.4V it doesn't show that in the app. it still only shows 4.33V. Another thing is maybe the weight of the leads balances out the extra voltage and makes it not worth it. Maybe i should test the overcharged mav battery with the MS8000 before the brick now that i'm thinkin about it.

Yeah it didn't go too well. Had the magnetic interference compass stuff because if the big battery. It wasn't easy controlling that thing with 5mph winds and no gps.. at one point it looked like it was getting flushed down a toilet. It would have actually been pretty comical if it was someone elses bird :)...I had to cut it short and didn't try again when i started smelling something electrical..I'm thinking it was the motor because it was just too heavy.

The over charged stock battery thing the reason i was tryin that is i thought it wouldnt charge with the overcharged external plugged in but it did. Stock battery still turned off.

but hey on a good note,, i know what DOSENT work..

What was the total weight? Under mount battery caused compass issues?
Check the .Dat file and look at the compass mag levels to see if there's compass noise related to high motor power.

1418grams. its too heavy...I had the same issue with the compass when it was a 3s and i had to re-position the battery forward. But the 4s just adds to the issue. 3 more batteries and more voltage i guess. I re-positioned it forward once and it went away for a little bit then came back during flight. Bigger magnet right? I wonder is there is something that insulates against this. If i feel like spending the money i may buy some 18650 3500mah batteries at 47grams each...But I really have way too many batteries now..

I wrapped my rear motor wires in foil and tape, as well as the gps/compass harness, and added foil to the inside of the upper shell to extend what the Mg plate does.
If you run without the plate, GPS performance is noticeably degraded.

I run those on my ebike. Are you going to try 4s again?

I need to adapt the plug and then I'm going to measure efficiency with this. I'll ballast the weight to match my Thunderpower/DJI combo to make things comparable.

Yeah they’re great batteries, just remember the last 10 percent of the battery power goes real fast so be prepare to land if you run the battery down that low.

Hi everybody! Finally I could register an account to join this topic. I have tried to register many times since 3 months ago but have not been successful until today. I do not understand why ??
I have read most of posts in this topic and help me get many ideals for my mavic mod to use external battery! It was a process, and I succeeded!
Some my mods...

I did a hover test 1 more time after my 50,038ft flight and this is what I got for the Protek 3600 3s LiHV x2 batteries. This is the 5th Hover/Flight with theses batteries.
