I’ve read that you are supposed to store MP battery at 50% or less. Is that also true with the RC remote to keep the battery lasting as long as possible?
 
It would benefit, but since it doesn't have as high a current drain as the AC, probably not as critical. If you consider the behavior of modern laptops, best to keep it at least under 95% when not in use long term, and particularly if it will be in a hot environment. Heat and high SoC don't mix.
 
it would not hurt to keep all the batteries for your drone under the same regime for storage and use charge them once a month if not used and then discharge to storage again this way you keep all of them in optimum condition but even if you do follow best practice they can still fail at some point they all have a finite life cycle at the end of the day and dont forget it is not just storage best practice that prolongs their useful life but how they are handled and used when in the drone with regards to voltage at end of flight and exposure to extreme heat ie left in a hot vehicle
