Mavic Pro on the way. What app?

New to forum and drones. I have a toy quad drone I fly but this is my first $$$ drone. I've watched so many YouTube videos I'm actually saturated right now. I'm not interested in flying for flying sake but want a 400' tall moving tripod video camera.

I went to the App Store to download the DJI go 4 app and the reviews are almost universally horrible. So what do I do?

Start with DJI GO 4. You'll need it to register your Mavic, setup the settings, and update the firmware (optional). If you find it doesn't do something you require, then you can find some other commonly used DJI GO alternatives here.

MavicHelp has an awesome site, but once your done dealing with screens blacking out and processing power running out on your phone, give litchi a try.

Try FPV Camera app.
Much better than the Dji stuff!

I would start off with DJI Go then go in the direction you want after you learn . Been using it from day 1 with no issue's at all

DJI app is nice never had issue.
UAV forecast is good also for weather, wind, etc
