I have a Mavic Pro Platinum that I bought a while back and was just wondering where it stands today in the Mavic drone community?
Pardon my ignorance, what does OG mean? It's the OG of Mavics. If you know, you know.
"OG" is a slang term that stands for "Original Gangster". It originated in hip-hop culture as a term of respect for someone who has been around since the beginning of a particular movement or community, often implying authenticity, experience, or excellence.what does OG mean?
Awesome! I have a MP PP as well."OG" is a slang term that stands for "Original Gangster". It originated in hip-hop culture as a term of respect for someone who has been around since the beginning of a particular movement or community, often implying authenticity, experience, or excellence.
In modern usage, "OG" has broadened its meaning and is often used more casually to describe someone or something that is:
- Authentic or classic (e.g., "That movie is an OG.")
- Respected or influential in a field or community (e.g., "She's the OG of graphic design.")
- An original version or the first of its kind (e.g., "This is the OG recipe for chocolate chip cookies.")
Still a good machine. Platform was very dependable but cameras on the newer DJI products are improved.
I still fly an M1P. Love it! I loaded the software from NLD on it so i no longer have NFZ restrictions (but i know the difference between right and wrong) as well as height restrictions (again, be smart). I have 5 batteries and keep them all at about 50% charge in my house to avoid excessive heat. As i am a recreational flyer it works for me. I also have an external RID on it.
I love my MPP so much I just want to keep it like new!I have a Mavic Pro Platinum that I bought a while back and was just wondering where it stands today in the Mavic drone community?
OUCH!!I love my MPP so much I just want to keep it like new!
I have minutes not hours on my new replacement from DJI
I was into the moment flying sideways getting some great video [should have seen that big Rock!]![]()
I still have my original batteries too, and I recently bought one on Amazon (USA) to have as a "new" back up. It charged up fine, got close to 30 minutes of basically hover time, then let it cool and recharged it again. So far, so good.I still have my MP Platinum along with my launch day OG Mavic Pro. I semi retired them after they each reached over 600 miles on the odometer. I was still able to routinely get about 20 minutes of flight time with the original batteries. I don't fly them anymore to ensure they remain in pristine condition. A lot of sentimental value in those pieces of kit.
I am thrilled to read this! Because I got one here in the case. Someone wanted me to give it to her son for Christmas but something told me no don't do it. Its not been flown but maybe an hour in years. For once I had the right instinct and said no because I'm a devil without a cause, and I'm going platinum I'm going platinum, I'm going platinum I'm going platinum, devil without a cause, I'm going platinum. It's the OG of Mavics. If you know, you know.
