I did buy some cheap aftermarket props. My son and I did a load test on all of them before using by me holding drone and him throttling all the way up for maximum load environment. They passed and I feel they are never going to be under that type of stress for normal flights. I also like MAS and have a few sets of Bower Carbon Fiber props on the way that I am looking forward to try.
My friend who pilots very large drones as well as a Mavic 3.
He uses the Mavic to cover various dirt races. He swears by CF blades as they don't bend as much as the plastic ones to provide instant "No-Lag" acceleration and directional change.
YMMV.
Shortly following my last night's post above, my buddy and I had a discussion about this. This and eagles but that's another topic. He's not kind to his drones. On one occasion, he busted a OEM prop going full speed ahead then full reverse. Carbon Fiber is lighter and stiffer. They accelerate faster. He would never go back to plastic props. DJI has to sell to a price point. Carbon Fiber props are much more expensive to manufacture.
Following-up on the anecdotal opinion of a person I truly have faith in, I have recently received a couple of Carbon Fiber propeller sets from two different manufacturers. It's too cold here (-26c) to fly right now but look forward to see for myself if any improvements over OEM's are to be found. Fell free to let me know if there's something specific you would like me to focus-on.
