Could anyone tell me how hard would it be for DJI to add a alarm system on Go App or sensor on any of the MAVICs, Phantoms, etc announcing another one of their MAVICs or Phantoms flying within 500M of you. I had a MAVIC zip by mine the other day, I was in a park and this guy flew his MAVIC most likely from his balcony downtown core of our city..So I would have never known if someone else was flying in the same park...very dangerous

Could possibly be done with their own toys but definitely not for all other brands or DIY drones...
Forget it

Figured so but would be a nice 3rd party product to purchase now the skies are filling up with quads, hexacopters, planes, you name it , never seen anything like it. I'm sure the goverment already have a portable unit for this purpose. Otherwise be a lot of over the boarder drops..lol

Not possible even as 3rd party.
WHy not , I have a system detects EMF within a few hundred meters , just need a system very sensitve maybe not now but I can see this in the future...DJI could pr
Probably would happen if UAS collision became a problem to the FAA
Wonder how sensitive are they radars today, I think you need a pretty good size target and or transponder...but who knows what's being produced by DJI birds, with all their technology strides lately and recent working relationship with the FAA, who knows really..but DJI they can track our birds anytime via their servers correct?

Detecting EMF will detect any WiFi hotspot as well as a lot of other stuff. Plus it can not tell you the position of its source.

Radars can
A) not detect these little objects even less in urban areas
B) be built small enough to fit a light weight UAV

Again: get yourself some knowledge of technology and forget it.

Why I'm asking questions, I know enough of technology but I don't know what could be in the pipeline, reason I posted here, don't have to be an *** about it

Sorry. I am getting a little annoyed buy these ideas that lack any technological common sense.
See the other thread of adding solar panels to the craft.
If anything of this made sense the engineers at DJI would already have come up with it - believe me.

Well just so you know, its possible to detect drones just not consumer based technology...why I posted if there was anything in the pipeline Drone Detection System / Anti UAV

I see your point on the solar panels...Yes if they knew how many panels they need just to maintain a charge, MAVIC would have to be huge and even then not enough surface area

Check out ADS-B

Automatic dependent surveillance – broadcast (ADSB) is a surveillance technology in which an aircraft determines its position via satellite navigation and periodically broadcasts it, enabling it to be tracked. The information can be received by air traffic control ground stations as a replacement for secondary radar.

It's being added to all aircraft (mandated by the FAA even on small private aircraft by 2020). It may not be exactly what you're looking for but it is available to put on the small sUAV's like the Mavic.
