Mavic Remote Controller Cable

So I just bought a Mavic Mini. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S10 with an Otterbox Defender case. The cable won't plug in the end of my phone and I prefer not to have to take the case off every time. Anybody with a similar situation that came up with a good work around? I bought a longer USB C to Micro USB cable, but apparently not just any cable will work.

The micro end has to be wired for OTG mode. There are custom cables out there for tablets for the Mini.
