Mavic remote

New to this but my question is, Is there only one remote that will work with the mavic pro platinum, I wish to get a smart controller?

only 1. You need to upgrade to mavic 2 or air 2 to use smart controller

There are three different Mavic pro models. MP, MPP, and the Alpine edition.
All three use the same style controller. None of the above will work with the Smart controller as mentioned above.

The controller for the MPP, just doesn’t do the drone justice. The drone does such a solid job, and you look down at the controller and it looks like a toy, but hey, it does the job. And welcome to the forum.

The board inside the controller that has the charge plug is somewhat easy to remove once you get the controller apart. Some very small wires and connectors that you need to watch out for. As for changing the connector to a c style, I personally would not make that attempt. Circuit board soldering on something that small would be a bit tricky.
