Bought and Tested the DJI RC Plus on Ebay that claims to work with the Mavic series of Drones. Guess What? IT DOES WORK! I'll tell you why.

You haven't given any.

You've cited neutral facts, like hardware similarities and the lack of these implementations supporting the same drones, then offered your interpretation of these facts as evidence these differences are because of a strategy to increase sales by forcing customers to buy hardware they don't really need.

That's a theory, not evidence. I've offered a different theory – support ROI – that's every bit as valid, and supported by your facts.

Which is all good, the point of this thread is to discuss how good this controller is and how well it works with the Mavic 3 Pro and Mini 3 Pro and other supposedly incompatible drones. And hopefully to figure out how the seller loads on the firmware so we can make it work with all the other artificially locked out drones. You're the one who tried to hijack the discussion into some other mostly irrelevant and definitely useless area because OMG you've worked in tech. But hey you have a nice day!

Anyway hopefully you haven't completely derailed the useful discussion about unlocking the potential of the Plus controller.

My question, can you select the language in English, German?
I buy on now by Ebay and I hope it come next week. Are you happy this your controller?
I have also a Mavic 3 pro, but the original controller feeling so cheap.
I can not understand that DJI gives such a cheap control for a drone that costs over 2000€!
I have now bought the RC Pro, which is more suited to the Mavic 3 Pro. Now I'm waiting for the DJI RC Plus and hope it arrives here next week.
I also fly with the DJI RC Plus here at the Johanniter Unfallhilfe in the drone squadron, the controls are just great!
The hardware of the RC Pro is almost identical except for the smaller display, less memory and housing, fixed antennas, I'm curious to see how it works with the DJI Fly. Of course the RC Plus has one. 7 inch screen, which is why I'm switching from the Pro to the Plus.

Yup just tested, I was able to change the language to German.



Go to Settings > System > Languages & Input > Languages, then I had to click "add a language" since German wasn't on the list, and after it was on the list I had to drag it to the top.

All settings and DJI Fly were then in German.

Well, I jumped on this bandwagon yesterday. I'm not concerned with the non-working buttons. They're not on my RC Pro, so I won't miss 'em. But am really looking forward to the larger and a little brighter screen

Today I got the Dji Rc Plus, I can only say great! Bright display, fast start, just great! Tomorrow it's going to fly, I'm curious

The control is open, you can install some apps that you want to install via apk. I have google search installed by voice control, really wonderful. Firefox and Google are integrated. Also the pairing with my Mavic 3 Pro was very fast. For 520€ a bargain!
