Max range with no lag on video feed

That is my question... what is the maximum range/distance (or height + distance) you have been able to reach without any lag on the video feed and on which environment (urban, open field on urban, only open field...)?

There is actually a thread here detailing people's maximum ranges, many of them with videos and flight logs for you to go over.

General answer is "it depends entirely on your region, environment, weather, interference, etc". If you're in a CE region your range will be significantly lower than if you're in an FCC region with official settings. I've had just over 1000m out of mine with no lag but I haven't gone out much further than that.

I flew 2.3km yesterday over water with not one single glitch or lag on an iPhone7 - looked like I could have gone twice the distance fine, in fact the feed was better than on my old Mavic Pro it seemed, BUT as soon as I went anywhere remotely behind a hillside it would stutter and lag and loose connection, of course I knew this, one of the limitations of WiFi, it's a **** impressive wee drone, I think I like it more than my Pro!

Top tip: Learn to use the compass. I've found it to be VERY directional once you get any significant distance and quite often the drone isn't in the direction you would expect it to be. 2.6Km my max so far.
