In general, DJI warranty has always been for 12 months.
The forum post you are comparing is referring to Great Britain where local laws make manufacturers give a 24 month warranty.
As it says on the bottom of the DJI warranty

IMO it is hard to say that it is a matter of faith vs. just another business decision. People are buying the products like crazy. Demand is high so they can likely change terms like that pretty easily which is bound to save them some money.
