Hello,

yesterday I made my maiden flight with the Mavic Mini and got all the time a red crossed smartphone icon (at least I assume that it should display this) in the lower center area of my in-flight-screen:

Normally at this position there should be an indicator displaying the position and heading of the drone relative to my position and heading.
What does this red icon mean, and how do I get rid of it and get back the indicator that is supposed to be there? I could not find anything about this in the manuals.
At least the drone's behavior seemed pretty normal, so no noticeable malfunction or limitations occurred during flight.

Thanks and greetings

I don’t have a Mini but got this from Google

It means you RC does not have a workable GPS signal. This signal is supplied by your display device (phone/tablet). I was messing today flying in my front yard while standing at my the garage door and had 12 satellites in the Mini . I got that display showing zip on the RC. I moved about 10 ft' outside and all was well
And
This icon means the GPS signal of your mobile phone is not strong enough, the relative position between the mobile device and the aircraft cannot be calculated.
The Navigator will not display the GPS condition of the aircraft, please check the GPS signal on the upper of the APP.

Thanks for the information. It's pretty strange as I was flying at perfectly clear skies on a open field with no obstacles around. Best conditions possible for a good GPS signal. My first guess was also to check if the GPS is maybe generally disabled on the phone, which was not the case. I'll keep an eye on it.

IF you’re using an iPhone, check the settings:
Settings > Privacy> Location Services to see if the GPS is enabled in the phone.

Then also under Location Services scroll down and check to see if the DJI FLY app is set to “While Using the App”, or “Always On”...either should work.

You could also download a GPS checker app like GPS Status which will give you an indication if it is working and relative accuracy of position.

Same for Android devices...just a different app.
