Agreed sar just throwing some thoughts out there as something doesn't add up. Another thought was a total loss of the c2 link and hd link but that would still leave a partial flight record and the craft should self initiate a RTH.

I've looked through the real DAT files he has too - they correspond to the txt logs and there doesn't seem to be one of either for the flight (or date) in question.
