16gb sandisk. For me, there is no reason to have anything larger. Even at 4K, That's a lot of recording time
If I was shooting something important to, I would change out the SD card on every flight. Thank you for doing the math [emoji6]On paper, that would get about 20-30 minutes of recording time at 4K 100mbps (1 battery).
What is the largest micro SD memory card can you put in a Mavic Pro and what brand do you recommend.
Important thing to note about all these cards is that they are 'UHS Speed Class 3' - see the U logo with the 3 in it. That defines the spec' that will allow a minimum sustained data record speed that will accommodate HD video ...There are a lot of memory cards that'll work. Here are a few good brands to consider:
SanDisk Extreme 32GB
SanDisk Extreme 64GB
Samsung EVO 64GB
Samsung EVO Select 64GB
Samsung EVO Plus 64GB
See this guide for more details on choosing the best memory card for you.
I have 2, 128gb sandisk extreme in my crystalsky ultra bright, and a 128gb in my mavic pro 2.I do have a recommendation on what NOT to get. Don’t get the Sandisk Extreme Plus 64 GB. There seems to be an issue with this card that makes the gimbal reset during flight
I like the really large card when I'm flying and won't have convenient access to a computer to download any videos. I used a 128GB when we were in Europe last year. Saves carrying several cards and if I lose that card well I've lost the drone so I've got bigger worries. When I'm flying at home I use a smaller card.
Cheers
Great point! There are certainly times when using a larger memory card would be a better choice.I like the really large card when I'm flying and won't have convenient access to a computer to download any videos. When we travel abroad I never bring a laptop, and I know if I was to bring a bunch of smaller cards in my drone case I'd forget to mark one or two of them then I'd end up overwriting it or running out of room while filming.I guess if you are used to doing it that way, you might have a system. If I left all my important footage one one card for the whole trip, and i didnt offload or back it up, that would keep me awake at night.
My thoughts are redundancy, especially if the footage is going to be unique and not easily replaceable. When I travel, I bring (4) 32gb SD cards, my laptop, a memory stick and an external hard drive. As soon as I land, that footage gets reviewed, offloaded, backed up, posted to Youtube and Facebook, and the SD card gets wiped clean. Most times, in addition to the above, I Livestream every single flight to Facebook. Believe it or now, most of my friends are happy with seeing it there, so I am careful about what I shoot. I dont even need an SD card to do that.

I'd say I need to get better organised but I'm in my mid 50s so if I haven't done it yet I never will. ;-)
Cheers
