Mini 2 app

Quick question, will I be able to use my mavic air app mk1 (old version) to fly a mini 2.

No. The Air 1 uses DJI GO4, the mini2 uses DJI Fly.

Also the SDK for the Mini 2 has not been published yet, so nobody else can integrate. Only DJI Fly works. Rumor was that the SDK for the Mini 2 and Air 2S would be released in December, but we'll see.

I don't see why you can't have two apps on one phone, so long as you only use one at a time.

Will any other app fly the Mini 2? Has anybody tried it? Is the problem that it won't connect to the mini or just not control it?

The SDK for the Mini 2 has not been released yet. That means no other app can connect at all. Rumor has it that the SDK supporting the Mini 2 and the Air 2S will be released later in December, but I haven't heard any update recently.
