Picked up a Mini 2 at Costco 2 days ago but have NOT activated (not even taken it out of the box) yet. Found out a few minutes ago that I will have to have eye surgery in a few weeks and will have a 6 to 8 week "recovery" period.

My question, does the Care Refresh have to be purchased according to the purchase date of the quad or the activation date? DJi site seemed a bit confusing on this. If the activation date, I will just keep it. If the purchase date, I will return it unopened.

Thanks for your help.

Care Refresh is contingent upon the following criteria per DJI's website:

· Brand new and un-activated product;

· Aircraft or gimbal activated within the last 48 hours;
· Handheld device activated within the last 30 days;

You will be fine waiting until you're ready to fly to activate your Mini and then purchase Care Refresh within 48 hours after activation.

Thanks! That's what I thought, but just needed some confirmation.

Technically you can add care refresh after you have activated. You just have to jump through DJI hoops to get it.

Saying that, no point in chancing it.

Good luck with the surgery
