I haven’t flown my mini 2 for a while so today I thought I would charge everything up and fly some. The drone batteries charged up fine but the lights on the controller just continue to blink left to right. I am using the factory cable and charger.
Any thoughts on what I should look for? Are the batteries in the controller shot?

Thank for your help!

Mine had the same problem but the batteries themselves were fine. I wouldn't guarantee that that is applicable to your's.
As I recollect its thought to be a problem with the original soldering around one chip. A few people might have had success in reflowing the chip but that's beyond me. It's now a spare, for parts.
What is the battery's charge level ?

I can’t tell the lights just blink. I wasn’t clear on my post the drone batteries charged well the controller just blinks
Thanks for answering!

How many lights blink and what lights blink ? Describe any sequence or post a video of it.

The 4 lights on the controller blink in sequence from left to right.
I just connected to the drone and did the most recent update. It seems to connect and control the drone ok. When connected the four lights were on solid.
Obviously I am a novice and not sure if it’s ok or not. I will try to fly it tomorrow if it’s not raining.

Best post a video of it but from memory that sequence has two possible sources.
1) the controller's battery is empty and it is being charged
2} the "pairing mode" had been triggered on the controller and it is looking for a new 'mate' or to re-pair with the existing drone.
You should read the relevant section of the manual regarding pairing/linking.

Obviously you can rule out 1) by not having it connected to a charger but it would still be useful to see a video of the sequence

How long did you leave the controller on charge and what output is your charger?

Blinking in the sequence you posted and connecting to the drone sounds right maybe its taking a long time to fully charge as it was totally flat, its a large battery and your charger output may be low.

From memory, the RC-N1 controller has two batteries: one in each hand grip.

4 lights from left to right indicates the controller charge is either at: or above 75%. If a good controller is left plugged in to the charger, eventually all four lights switch off. This is after the balancing cycle completes (two batteries in the controller is similar to having one battery with two individual cells... like in the flight batteries).

Perhaps one of the pair of batteries in the controller has a fault and the controller can't balance the charge equally between them. This might account for the controller continuously trying to charge.

Without it being plugged in, press the power button once - how many of the green LED's light up?
