Will DJI ever update the firmware for Mini 2 for waypoints?

Most unlikely but I'm optimistic they will release the SDK so you will be able to get waypoint missions from Litchi or Dronelink

Will DJI ever update the firmware for Mini 2 for waypoints?

For the Mini 2 it is not a firmware problem but software. There is not enough memory in the Mini 2 to upload and store waypoints so it will have to be done in the app like Litchi and others have done for the M1 / S2. Once DJI releases the SDK then 3rd parties will be able to modify their software/app for the M2. If DJI really wanted to they could implement waypoints in their app now since DJI doesn't need access to a separate SDK to control the M2, they already know how to control the drone via the Fly App.

Thank you. I have actual parked my Mini 2 and flying the Mini 1. I thought I read DJI was going to correct this in Sept. Well... DJI... This is Sept.

Did I waste money on the upgrade to the MINI 2.0? Sorta feeling that way.
