Have a great trip. Some of the nearby beach cities have their own prohibitions about drones. In the USA you can generally launch in an allowed city like Manhattan Beach but then overfly a no launch city like Redondo beach. Check the city laws before launching. LAANC now works pretty much everywhere in the complex LA basin.

IF you're still in the UK you're better off buying one here. They're not going to be in stores in the US for a while. I got one in my local Argos on Saturday.

Obviously Yorkshire is being favoured over Surrey. All I get is out of stock for all Argos stores near me. I have ordered through DJI the mini 3 . I am only getting some on the ground price comparisons from someone who is going to LA next month. Purely for interest..
